Privacy statement
Last updated: 23 October 2026
The short version
- This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies.
- I only process what you send me, what I need to do the work, and what the law makes me keep.
- I don't sell or rent personal data, and I don't use it for anything you wouldn't expect.
- You can always ask what I have, have it corrected or deleted, or tell me to stop.
Who I am
Juiceworks is a one-person business (eenmanszaak) run by Mike Vos. I am responsible for the personal data described here (the "controller" under the GDPR).
- Business
- Juiceworks, eenmanszaak of Mike Vos
- Address
- Pieter de Hooghlaan 1, 1399 GA Muiderberg, the Netherlands
- Chamber of Commerce
- KvK 42175886
I am not required to appoint a data protection officer. Questions about privacy come straight to me.
When you visit this website
The site is a single set of pages with images served from juiceworks.dev itself. It has no contact forms (only the signup form for the free guide), no third-party analytics (only anonymous counts, see below), no tracking pixels, no embedded videos, no external fonts and no third-party scripts. The only script is a few lines that put my email address together in your browser, to keep it away from spam bots. It sends nothing anywhere.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver a page, any web server has to receive your IP address, the page you ask for, the time and your browser type. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and to protect it against attacks and abuse. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report failed connections (Network Error Logging), which is used only to detect network problems.
I don't keep visitor logs myself and I can't see who visited. Cloudflare shows me totals only, such as the number of requests and the countries they came from.
- Why
- To show you the website and keep it secure and working.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)): running a website that works and is safe.
- How long
- I store nothing myself. Cloudflare keeps this technical data briefly, under its own privacy policy.
When you email me
If you email me, I receive your name, email address, the content of your message and anything else you choose to include, such as your company, job title or phone number.
- Why
- To answer your question and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest in answering you (art. 6(1)(f)), or steps you ask for before entering into an agreement (art. 6(1)(b)).
- How long
- Up to two years after our last contact, unless it leads to an assignment. Then the next section applies.
When we work together
For clients I process the business contact details of the people I work with (name, role, email, phone), the agreements we make, our correspondence, and the details needed for invoicing.
- Why
- To carry out the assignment, invoice it and keep the administration the law requires.
- Legal basis
- Performance of the agreement (art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)) for the financial administration.
- How long
- Invoices and the financial administration: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. Other project correspondence: up to two years after the assignment ends.
When I contact you about my work
I sometimes email people at companies I think I can help, to introduce Juiceworks. For that I use a business name, role, company and business email address that I found in a public source, such as a company website or LinkedIn, or that someone gave me in an introduction.
- Why
- To introduce my services to businesses for which they may be relevant.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)) in business-to-business direct marketing.
- How long
- If we don't end up talking, I delete your details within 12 months of my last message.
Every message can be answered with "stop", and I will stop. You can object at any time, without giving a reason. I then keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so I don't contact you again by mistake.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages and videos bring people to the site, the server itself counts visits: which page, the domain of the site you came from (for example youtube.com), the country, whether it is a phone or a computer, the hour, and a keyword or campaign code if the link had one. Clicks on my short links (juiceworks.dev/l/…) are counted the same way. These are only totals: no cookie is set, no IP address or full browser description is kept, and nothing is recorded per visitor. No third-party service is involved.
- Why
- To improve the site and my videos.
- Legal basis
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). As these are anonymous counts, no consent is needed.
- Where
- In my own database at Cloudflare, stored in the EU.
- How long
- Hourly counts for 90 days, after that only daily totals.
When you sign up for the free guide
At juiceworks.dev/gids you can sign up for the free guide. I then keep your email address, the consent text you tick with the date and time, and the keyword from the video that brought you (for example FACTUUR) if it was in the link. To prevent abuse I also keep a salted hash of your IP address (a one-way value, not the address itself) and a short description of your browser. No confirmation email is sent: the download is shown straight away on the next page.
- Why
- To give you the guide and to send you an occasional email about my work.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Where
- In my own database at Cloudflare, stored in the EU. Nobody else gets the list.
- How long
- Until you unsubscribe, and at most 2 years without activity. After that your signup is deleted automatically.
- Unsubscribe
- At juiceworks.dev/gids/afmelden, or email me. Your address is deleted immediately.
YouTube
Juiceworks has a YouTube channel, @getjuiceworks. If you comment there or subscribe, YouTube (Google) processes that under its own privacy policy and is responsible for it. I see your public name and what you post, and I may reply or remove comments. This website does not embed YouTube or load anything from it.
When I work inside your systems
Sometimes an assignment means I look at or work in a client's systems that contain personal data, for example of their customers or staff. In that case the client stays responsible for that data and I act as their processor. I only do what the client instructs, and we sign a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) first. That data is not covered by this statement; the client's own privacy statement applies.
Who else sees your data
I don't sell, rent or share personal data for anyone else's marketing. I use the following services, which process data on my behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Google Workspace
- Email, calendar and documents. Contracting party Google Cloud EMEA Ltd (Ireland); data may also be processed in the United States and other countries.
- Cloudflare
- Website hosting, domain names and security, and the databases with guide signups and visitor statistics (stored in the EU). Cloudflare, Inc. (United States); pages are served from the data centre nearest to you, which can be outside the EU.
- Anthropic
- AI assistant (Claude) for email, planning and administration. Anthropic PBC (United States).
Outside the EU. Google, Cloudflare and Anthropic can process data in the United States. Google and Cloudflare are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission considers to give an adequate level of protection. For all three, the agreements also include the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Apart from that, I only share personal data when the law requires it, for example with the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst).
I don't use automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
This website does not place cookies and does not store anything in your browser. If Cloudflare ever needs to check that a visitor is not a bot, for example during an attack, it can set a strictly necessary security cookie. That cookie is not used for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see which personal data I have about you;
- have it corrected or completed;
- have it deleted;
- have its use restricted;
- receive it in a common format, or have it sent to someone else;
- object to its use, and always to direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent, where you gave it.
Email me to use any of these. I reply within one month. I may ask you to confirm who you are first, so I don't hand your data to someone else. Some data I can't delete straight away, such as invoices I must keep by law.
If you're not happy with how I handle your data, tell me and I'll try to fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If I start processing data in a new way, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
